a Resource > The Review Process

All resources accessible on oomRoom.ca
are subject to a peer review process before they are approved
for posting. We do this to ensure that the resources provided
are useful to you as well as to ensure that moral and ethical
standards are met.
Once a digital resource is submitted through the completion
of a Content Submission Form, it is reviewed by two certified
teachers with experience in the Ukrainian program (bilingual
or core). These reviews assess pedagogical, ethical, and user
interface considerations (grade level, Ukrainian language
level, specific learning outcomes, methods of use, student
assessment, usability, etc.). The official resource review
is then provided to the UKiP Consortium Association's Editorial
Board which ensures the following:
- The digital content/resource does not have any potential
ethical or moral problems.
- The digital content/resource meets an expressed requirement
of teachers (as documented by the UKiP Needs Analysis Report
- January, 2003).
- The digital content/resource is compatible with the
UKiP technical environment.
- The digital content/resource is error free and
functions as expected.
The Editorial Board may request certain changes be made
to the resource before it is posted, or it may provide feedback
in the form of suggestions for improvement. Following Editorial Board approval, the resource
is posted on oomRoom.ca and is made available for use.
The UKiP Consortium Association's Editorial Board meets quarterly to consider resource
submissions.
