We do not automatically gather any personal information from you. Information such as your name, address, phone number or e-mail address, is only obtained if you supply it voluntarily, usually through contacting us via e-mail.

Any personal information you do provide is managed according to the Alberta Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. This means that, at the point of collection, you will be informed that your personal information is being collected, the purpose for which it is being collected, and a contact person who can answer any questions you may have regarding the collection activity will be identified.

  2. Except for authorized law enforcement investigations, no other attempts are made to identify individual users or their usage habits.

  3. This Web site contains links to external sites. The UKiP Consortium Association is not responsible for the content and the privacy practices of other Web sites, and encourages you to examine each site's privacy policy and disclaimers in order to make your own decisions regarding the accuracy, reliability and correctness of material and information found there.

  4. This site may make forums available to users at various times. Whenever users post personal information on-line (through chat rooms, message boards, or e-mail) this information can be collected and used by others. The UKiP Consortium Association will take all reasonable precautions to protect your privacy, but always keep in mind that when you are in a public forum, you control the information you disclose.

E-mails and written correspondence sent to the UKiP Consortium Association are treated alike. Your personal information is not used for any purpose other than to respond to you.

Moreover, the UKiP Consortium Association does not create individual profiles with the information you submit or provide it to any private organizations, nor is your information used for commercial marketing purposes.

  6. The UKiP Consortium Association is committed to protecting the on-line privacy of children. In accordance with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act of Alberta, the UKiP Consortium Association  will not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children under the age of 18 without first obtaining parental consent. The UKiP Consortium Association encourages parents to monitor and supervise the on-line activities of their children and to consider using parental control tools available from on-line services and software manufacturers that help to create a child-friendly on-line environment. These tools can prevent children from disclosing their name, address, and other personal information without parental consent.

The UKiP Consortium Association also reminds parents to carefully review the privacy policies of all Web sites that their children visit, including those Web sites linking to or from our site. Any information provided to these Web sites will be subject to the privacy policy posted at that site. The fact that another Web site has established a link to or from our site is not an endorsement of that site's privacy policy by the UKiP Consortium Association.

Individual photographs and other graphic images of individuals under the age of 18 are placed only in the Students section of our Web site and only with the consent of the student's parents. An exception to this rule is a photograph or image in which a minor is not readily individually identifiable (e.g. photographs taken at a distance). Where photographs are posted on the Students section, names, e-mail or postal addresses or telephone numbers of the minor depicted will not accompany the photograph. Any parent who objects to a photograph of their minor child posted on the Web site must notify the UKiP Consortium Association in writing via postal service or by e-mail (contact information given on the Contact Us page) and that photograph will be removed in a reasonable amount of time.

Furthermore, the information is only retained for the length of time necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected.

The UKiP Consortium Association will use information in accordance with the privacy policy in effect at that time.
