This page summarizes the privacy policy
and practices of the oomRoom.ca Web site. The UKiP Consortium Association
is committed to
providing our visitors with a Web site that respects their
privacy. We do not automatically gather any personal information
from you. Information such as your name, address, phone number or
e-mail
address, is only obtained if you supply it
voluntarily, usually through contacting us via e-mail.
Any personal information you do provide
is managed according to the
Alberta Freedom of Information
and Protection of Privacy Act.
This
means that, at the point of collection, you will be informed
that your personal information is being collected, the purpose
for which it is being collected, and a contact person who
can answer any questions you may have regarding the collection
activity will be identified.
- This Web site uses cookies. Cookies are small amounts
of information that are distributed to Web browsers to assist
you when you return to this site or a specific area on the
site. The cookies used here retain session information,
or more specifically, the options selected to determine
your itinerary (session cookies remain active only until
you close your browser). The UKiP Consortium Association
does not keep a database of
information obtained from these cookies.
If you have concerns about the use of cookies, you can change the settings
on your Web browser either to display warning messages when
this is about to occur or not to accept this information.
Cookies are not retained by the site but reside on your
machine and are marked for removal by your browser after
a default period of 28 days.

no other attempts are made to identify individual users
or their usage habits.
- This Web site contains links to external sites. The UKiP Consortium Association
is
not responsible for the content and the privacy practices
of other Web sites, and encourages you to examine each site's
privacy policy and disclaimers in order to make your own
decisions regarding the accuracy, reliability and correctness
of material and information found there.
- This site may make forums available to users at various
times. Whenever users post personal information on-line (through
chat rooms, message boards, or e-mail) this information can
be collected and used by others. The UKiP Consortium Association
will take all reasonable
precautions to protect your privacy, but always keep in
mind that when you are in a public forum, you control the
information you disclose.
- If you choose to provide your personal information (in an
e-mail to someone else or by filling out a form with
your personal information included and submitting it through
our Web site) the UKiP Consortium Association will use that information to respond to
your message and to help provide you with the information
you have requested.
E-mails and written correspondence sent to the UKiP Consortium
Association are treated alike. Your personal information
is not used for any purpose other than to respond to you.
Moreover, the UKiP Consortium Association does not create individual profiles with
the information you submit or provide it to any private
organizations, nor is your information used for commercial
marketing purposes.
- The UKiP Consortium Association is committed to protecting
the on-line privacy of children.
In accordance with the Freedom of Information and Protection
of Privacy Act of Alberta, the UKiP Consortium Association
will not knowingly collect
any personally identifiable information from children under
the age of 18 without first obtaining parental consent.
The UKiP Consortium Association encourages parents to monitor and supervise the
on-line activities of their children and to consider using parental
control tools available from on-line services and software
manufacturers that help to create a child-friendly on-line
environment. These tools can prevent children from disclosing
their name, address, and other personal information without
parental consent.
The UKiP Consortium Association also reminds parents to carefully
review the privacy policies of all Web sites that their
children visit, including those Web sites linking to or
from our site. Any information provided to these Web sites
will be subject to the privacy policy posted at that site.
The fact that another Web site has established a link to
or from our site is not an endorsement of that site's privacy
policy by the UKiP Consortium Association.
Individual photographs and other graphic
images of individuals under the age of 18 are placed only
in the Students section of our Web site and only with the consent
of the student's parents. An exception
to this rule is a photograph or image in which a minor is
not readily individually identifiable (e.g. photographs
taken at a distance). Where photographs are posted on the
Students section, names, e-mail or postal addresses
or telephone numbers of the minor depicted will not accompany
the photograph. Any parent who objects to a photograph
of their minor child posted on the Web site must notify the UKiP Consortium Association in writing via postal service or by
e-mail (contact information given on the Contact Us page) and that
photograph will be removed in a reasonable amount of time.
- Any personal information you are asked to provide via
this Web site is collected in compliance with section 32
of the Alberta Freedom of Information and Protection of
Privacy Act. Only information necessary for the operation
of the Web site and the provision of requested materials
or services to you is collected. The information is used
only for the purpose it was collected or for a consistent
purpose. Furthermore, the information is only retained for
the length of time necessary to fulfill the purpose for
which it was collected.
- If the UKiP Consortium Association decides to change this privacy policy,
the UKiP Consortium Association will
post those changes so our users are always aware of what
information is collected, how the UKiP Consortium Association
uses it, and under what
circumstances, if any, the UKiP Consortium Association will disclose it.
The UKiP Consortium Association will
use information in accordance with the privacy policy in
effect at that time.
