This section of oomRoom.ca is for teachers
of Ukrainian language and culture from preschool to grade 12, whether
you teach a bilingual program, core program, sadochok, Saturday/Heritage
Language school, independent language course or any course
in which Ukrainian content has been incorporated.

You will find available on-line resources by clicking on Resources
and then selecting choices in the Quick Links box on the right of
the page.
Resource Submissions
We are constantly searching for new high-quality educational
resources with which to expand our resource database. We welcome
submissions from educators whether they are in a developmental
or final state. Click on Submit a Resource
for the details on how to submit your resource to oomRoom.ca
and about our review and resource development process.
Learning Centres
Learning a language means using the language! Our Learning
Centres are designed to let your students do exactly that.
The Learning Centre is currently available for the grade 4
level (bilingual program). We will keep you updated as other
levels become available.
Professional Development
Involvement in continuing Professional Development is vital
to
keep abreast of new developments and to learn new skills.
This section is updated on an ongoing basis. It includes upcoming
courses and workshops, as well as a section with articles of interest to teachers. If you have a professional
development activity that you would like publicized in this
area or would like to recommend a professional development
article, please e-mail us at ukip@ualberta.ca.
Forum
Sharing knowledge, techniques, activities, plans, and other
information with your peers is one of the most important ways
to get new ideas for your classes and to solve problems you
may have. Enter the Forum to communicate with other teachers
in Alberta, Canada, and around the world. We encourage you
to share ideas and activities. You can include file attachments
in your messages and links to your own Web site. If you have
anything that you would like to see on oomRoom.ca as a resource,
please send it to us by using the Submit
a Resource function.
