Partially bilingual (more Ukrainian) government Web site about the city of Kyiv primarily for tourists. Includes maps, a guided tour section, city history, information on finding hotels and restaurants, photographs, news, administration.
Description of Content Clear and nicely designed. The maps and guided tour section are helpful for anyone planning a trip to Kyiv.

The history section is most suited for Kursy and Ukrainian Bilingual students, but may be too advanced even for high school.

There are a lot of nice photographs that could complement a research project.

The site includes an on-line magazine that addresses issues dealing with the language situation and policy, an encyclopedia of languages in Ukraine, a Ukrainian language "distant-study" section to improve language skills of Ukrainian journalists and teachers, and other related information (news, facts, statistics, new books to read, quotes, etc.)

The lessons are clear and simple, and may help teachers gain a better understanding of grammar or provide them with teaching tips. Primarily suited for adults who have not had much previous exposure to the Ukrainian language.

Attractive, colourful appearance. 
The most useful part of the site are the on-line games. May be used in the classroom or independently.

Description of Content The site contains library addresses and bar code information for the National Library of Ukraine.

Of particular interest will be the Ukrainian-Russian page of the National Library of Ukraine, Children’s section. This specific  page is good, but the rest of the site is not worth exploring unless you are looking for a particular library in Ukraine. A lot of the book titles are offered in Russian, but the page itself can be printed by the teacher and read in class.
