a Resource > The Project Brokerage Process

At UKiP we know many great ideas and
resources exist that are not yet in a digital format. Because
we feel it is important to provide teachers with as many resources
as possible so that they have greater flexibility and creativity
in delivering programs, we have developed a Project Brokerage
Process. Through Project Brokerage, we work with you to transform
your resource or idea into a digital learning object. Each
project is a little different and the Project Brokerage Process
accommodates this. We can provide you with as much or as little
assistance as you require.
The general work flow following the receipt of a project
brokerage submission (through the completion of an on-line
Project Submission Form) is first to evaluate the non
digital resource or resource project idea to determine its
best fit within the Ukrainian Language Program of Studies
(learning outcome and grade level). Next, we work with you
to create a project outline. This project outline is incorporated
into a formal project agreement and passed onto the UKiP Editorial
Board for review and approval. If approved by the Editorial
Board, it forms the basis of a Project Brokerage contract
between UKiP and the submitter. After the project has been
completed, it is posted on oomRoom.ca and becomes available
for use.
If you make a submission through the Project Brokerage Process,
we will discuss with you the degree of assistance you may
require or wish for. Perhaps you just want confirmation that
your resource is suitable for a particular grade and subject,
before you develop it on your own. Or perhaps you would like
us to guide and assist in the entire development process.
It’s up to you.
