4.2.2 Critically asses how the cultural and linguistic heritage and diversity of Alberta has evolved over time by exploring and reflecting upon the following: - What do the stories of the Aboriginal peoples tell us about their beliefs, about the relationship between people and the land?

In the Alberta Program of Study, English Language Arts (K-9) (2000): Alberta Learning, the following grade 4 English Language Arts specific outcomes can be met by this resource:

2.2 Respond to Texts (Grade 4)
- experience oral, print and other media texts from a variety of   cultural traditions and genres, programs, adventure stories, folk
  tales, informational texts, mysteries, poetry and CDROM programs.

In the Alberta Program of Study, Ukrainian Language Arts (K-9) (2003): Alberta Learning, the following grade 4 Ukrainian Language Arts specific outcomes can be met by this resource:

2.2.1 Respond to Texts – Experience various texts
- Experience texts from a variety of genres and cultural traditions,   with and without support, such as personal narratives, plays, video   programs, adventure stories, folk tales, informational texts,   mysteries, poetry, CD-ROM programs and fairy tales; and share   responses to these texts.
